What is Creative Commons?
creative commons.png

Creative Commons is a website that freely shares information and licenses that are increasingly being used by authors of digital content. This tool lets an author decide how and if they wish to share their digital content with others. Creative Commons advertises itself as a “non-profit agency that offers flexible copyright licenses for creative works.”

A Creative Commons license will let others know what they may or may do with your work, let you share your work with students and others, and let you breathe a little easier because of “limits you put in place” to protect your work.

The Creative Commons web site is filled with information to help one understand copyright, intellectual property issues, and presents information that is engaging, easy to read, and to understand.

The Creative Commons web site also provides an  search function to find content in featured education sites.
